Oh yes... the controversial Olivier. Quite the debacle went down with that one. If you decide to get one, buy it pre-owned. Long story made extremely short: Olivier has a lot of angry customers over extreme delays and lack of communication.

Not a diver, but the Maranez Layan is a nice brass watch for a low price. Looks great with a green dial. More of a PAM shaped watch with minimalist details.

Wearing my Seiko "Baby" Monster today. It's my workhorse, I wear it the most and it has the scuffs to prove it... but I still love the look and feel of it!

I know this thread is about the dial, but I'm also a big fan of bead-blasted finishes, such as is an option on the Obris Morgan Pradata: ...the matte finish is so sweet!

Helson makes a beautiful grey dial diver. The graphite Gerlach Otago is really nice looking too (but it's very dark grey).

Another vote here for a cushion case diver! Something Doxa inspired would be awesome.
