Date at 3, big triangle for me, not too bothered by colour, the white border on the date window has grown on me too. This has been fun!

It's definitely your choice Maria how far you want to respect the original. For me the unique touches and the theme together create the appeal. I think I'd recognise the sm300 instantly in any of the suggested variants.

Date at 6 looks great, maybe without the white border as suggested some way back?

I'm a fan of the date/big triangle version, the big triangle adds something different and orientating in the dark will be quicker and easier if the numbers aren't lumed (assuming you use your bezel now and again but forget to realign it like me).

Maybe too far from the homage but white surround on the hands would complement the matte dial and printed indeces more than polished.

This is going to be a nice watch, personally I can stand the date at 3 but like the symmetry of a date at 6 (retaining the numerals at 3 and 9); don't think there's room for a numeral next to the date as well, that said asymmetry adds a touch of character. The rest of the specs look great. The...
