ALPINA has introduced an all-steel version of their flagship diver’s watch, the SEASTRONG 300 for 2017.
Ref. AL-525LBG4V6B (grey) AL-525LBN4V6B (navy blue) are equipped with full Stainless steel 3-link divers bracelets which among other divers features such as a unidirectional divers bezel and 300 meters of water-resistance and a lovely clean dial make it a reasonably interesting proposition.
I have never really warmed to the Seastrong (it's a little boring) but to give credit where credit is due, Alpina have done a sterling job on the dial. We have lovely oversized hour-markers (particularly the 12hr) and the lack of minute-track is also appealing to me.
Aplpina say that the current Seastrong is directly inspired from the past and is a descendant of the 1960s Seastrong 10. However if you’re after an Aplina with a stronger vintage look, there is the Seastrong HERITAGE to consider.
Diving history has been a part of the Alpina DNA and its ocean universe for more than 5 decades and this new addition to the Seastrong Collection continues its legitimate legacy.
The Seastrong Diver 300 has a 44m case, which comes either with a dark grey or a navy blue 60 minute bezel and a black dial with a date window at 3 o’clock.
A Sapphire crystal exhibition case-back affords a detailed view of the watch’s AL-525 automatic movement. The watch is available from May.
