EZA’s vintage diver the, SEALANDER has been reimagined in the trendiest of ancient materials, bronze!

This is the new Sealander Bronze; it measures 41mm in diameter, by 14.2mm in thick with lug to lug measurement of 49mm and a lug width 22mm.

It gets a solid bronze case, screw-down crown and bezel with a green ceramic inlay. The watch’s case-back however is in sweat-friendly 316L Stainless steel case-back.

Diver’s features include: a 2mm-thick Sapphire crystal, screw-down crown and case-back, bezel with dive-time scale and 300 meters of water-resistance.

The dial is with C3 SuperLuminova hands and markers with a subtle color-coded date-wheel.
The dial design is as the Steel Sealander but in a dark green color so as it to complement the bronze case. Black and blue variants are forthcoming.

In this regard the Sealander Bronze is supplied with a choice of several vintage-style leather or rubber tropic straps keeping the watch on theme.

Power comes from an ETA 2824-2 auto, adjusted in-house to six positions. In addition to Swiss movement, the Sealander Bronze gets “made in Germany” on its dial a first for the Sealander.

Thoughts? The watch doesn’t really do it for me – some these divers are getting a bit samey; personally prefer something a bit more rugged or at least with some special features.

This should in no way detract from what is otherwise a picture perfect example of a classic vintage bronze diver.

This is exactly why EZA very quickly smashed the Sealander Bronze’s crowdfunding target. What do you think?
