The Longines Legend Diver collection just got a whole lot bigger and better –
well at least bigger; better would depend on whether or not you are on board with the current vintage-watch-geek’s trend for sub 40mm wristwatches.
Bigger, that is to say that the family has now expanded to include a new collection of 36mm models which are offered in an array of iterations.
Choose from an old school graduated brown dial (my favorite), an original classic black or a shimmering white mother of pearl, squarely aimed at the fairer sex.
The dials which have printed indexes are punctuated by a large set of polished Rhodium-plated hands with SuperLuminova.
Just like the historical model that inspired the modern Legend Diver, the case-back is proudly stamped with a ‘’diver’’ motif.
As you can see there is also the choice of leather, a Stainless steel Milanese shark-mesh bracelet or vintage tropic-style straps.
The white variant is offered with the choice of mesh or white leather while the brown version also has the option for an aged brown leather strap.
Thoughts? These are going to be very well received by those mentioned above; the rest of us might feel a little miffed that we can’t get that the gorgeous brown variant in a larger size.
