Hello my fellow Borealis fans. I just wanted to make a quick post to say hello and to let Carlos and Maria know how awesome both the Borealis and Prometheus line of watches are. I've owned a lot of micro brands over the years and I have to say that you guys produce some of the best built watches at the most affordable prices. I like that you guys don't do the same old, same old that many Asian micro-brand companies do as far as the build goes and the materials you use.
I've been a WIS for most of my adult life and I can honestly say there is no better vice LOL!! When people ask me why I need a watch or more then one watch my response is always "watches are like art work" and then the conversation proceeds from there.
I've had the opportunity to own several Borealis/Prometheus watch models and I have nothing negative to say about them. I just ordered the Sea Storm B1 Date C3 X1 and I'm ecstatic to get my hands on it. I read through all the posts on the thread regarding the pre-order and I have to say that I'm very impressed with everyones appreciation for the newest model. I know some would like to see a "Swiss" movement and this and that, but in all honesty folks for what Carlos and Maria are asking for these you can't expect to get those kinds of upgrades. I appreciate that Carlos and Maria listen to our feedback and have made some modest changes, but in the end this watch will be another home run despite getting those requested changes or not.
This is one cool watch. I've always wanted a homage to the Blancpain FF and this is exactly what I was looking for. I personally love this rendition more then any other out there. I wouldn't change a thing about the design. The only thing I would change is not having to wait until July LOL!! On the flip side I'm okay waiting because I know patience is a virtue especially when it comes to pre-orders. I know that Carlos and Maria will make sure that the watch is perfect before approving the final product that we will all receive. Thanks again for having me and I look forward to getting to know all of you.
