One type of extreme weather is very much like another. Take typhoons and tornados for example; which are both types of powerful wind that generally wreak havoc on anything that lies in their paths.

The same could be said of two divers watches named after these extreme winds – such as the (does anyone know another word for legendary) fabled Sandoz Typhoon or its holy incarnation, the new Crepas Tornado.

Unlike their namesakes, neither is likely to wreak havoc upon your wrist. However both boast 1000 meters of water-resistance and a powerful design that will likely cause a fair amount of salivation.

One is a fragile vintage icon from the 1970s, the other a reliable, historically styled piece of modern dive watch engineering from arguably one of the best in the business.

This is the CREPAS Tornado, available in two case sizes 41 or 43mm and offering the choice of either a Plexiglas acrylic crystal or a Sapphire crystal –

it is the next exotic pieces in a dream stable that includes – the Le GRAND, TEKTITE, CAYMAN, L’OCEAN, and more recently the 4000M DECOMASTER.

Its case is in Stainless steel with a brushed and polished finish. This is fitted with a screw-down crown and caseback plus a stunning 60-click diver’s bezel with those iconic bezel teeth.

It houses a Swiss ETASA 2824-2 movement. The caseback has special screw offset to its side just like the original –

forming an early helium release valve system only the today there’s a sense of drama with a massive engraved arrow with the words – DANGER, do not turn to open – how cool is that?!

The CREPAS Tornado comes in 4 dial colors: black, grey, orange and yellow. Ceck out those massive dial markers! These along with the hands will be with Swiss SLN.

It will be made in a Limited Edition of xxx number of pieces depending on customer demand – which is likely to be high given its favorable price-tag which starts from just 475€!

It will be delivered with 316L Stainless steel Milanese mesh bracelet as well as a nylon NATO strap.

Please follow the link to PRE-ORDER. Expected delivery will be August 2017.
