First post. Borealis WR Question

Hello all. I've looked at the official Borealis website and came away very impressed with their watches; simplicity of design, fit, finish, and pricing. Don't know how they do it at such reasonable pricing . . . am I missing something???

I'm especially interested in the Sea Hawk rated at 1500m WR.

My question is:

Does the Sea Hawk, or any of their "diver" watches, meet the ISO 6425 standards for true diver watches?

As you may be aware testing diving watches for ISO 6425 compliance is voluntary and involves costs, so not every manufacturer present their watches for certification according to this standard.

Otherwise prices of watches would increase in our case at least 50% due to low volumes produced!

Nevertheless the Sea Hawk is tested at 2000m prior assembly and a few watches after assembly have been tested to 2000m and all have been tested to 200m after assembly.

So in summary be assured the Sea Hawk can be used for deep diving activities.

As with other deep diver watches it is necessary to take good care of watch after each dive, cleaning it and rinsing it with tap water and replacing gaskets every year and testing watch for water resistance after preventive maintenance.
