Hi BWF!
I am an avid watch collector and enthusiast from New Delhi, India. I always had a thing for watches but could never explore my hobby due to a perpetual lack of funds in my childhood and as a young 20-something. Now that I have worked hard in life and have my own money to spend however I wish I got back into watch collecting with a bang earlier this year.
Looking at so many beautiful pictures of amazing watches has helped me develop my tastes over time but the one type of watch I keep coming back to are Divers. My love for affordable divers brought me to Borealis in May and by the end of the month I had my Sea Diver 300m in my hands.
I think I am the only Borealis owner in all of India. Obviously confirmation is needed but the 20-odd Indians I have come across on various watch forums and websites have not even heard of Borealis and their amazing watches. I made it a point to wear the Sea Diver to every outing since May. Most of the times no one will even notice as the Indian youth and watch buyers are happy with cheap homage watches by Titan and Fastrack (both Indian brands with tons of affordable and ultra-affordable products). The few times people have asked me about my watch I usually help them out by telling them to look up Borealis Watch Company. I can only hope that my efforts at spreading the popularity of Borealis have not gone in vain.
Long story short, I am glad to be here. I a glad I bought my Borealis Sea Diver. I am more than glad to be a part of something bigger, where people from many nationalities and cultures get together over mutual interests.
I wonder if we can get a Forum Watch Project going and build a kick-a$$ unique diver watch.
