I'm beginning to warm to the Medusa. Up til now, I've been put off by the apparent waste of real estate. With case overhanging the bezel, and the wide bezel, there's only a small amount of real estate left for the dial. And this is a 45 mm watch! However, I'm beginning to appreciate the case...
The photos above(Post 125) are the first I've seen of the back side of the Medusa. What is the purpose/function of the shallow cutouts in the case, the width of the bracelet and extending from the edge of the case inward to the case back? Unless there is a good reason for having them, I would...
Maria,
Could you include a couple of removable half links this time? The ratc
heting clasp on my Bull shark does not give enough fine adjustment to achieve a comfortable fit without using the ratchet extension.
Maria,
I vote for the mix of long and short applied indices! I thought about this after I proposed the short indices, but at that time decided it was a lost cause and dropped the thought.
Now , how about the constant with bracelet? :)
Maria,
Thanks for trying the shorter indices. I actually prefer the shorter indices myself, but that's just me apparently. In any event, it's your project, and I'm actually OK with the longer indices.
On another topic, would you consider using a constant width 22 mm bracelet on the Medusa. It's...
I think the problem with the lines, noted above, is at least in part due to the design and length of the applied markers, relative to the small dial size.
Using ratios on the renders, I get a dial size of only about 30 mm. For this small dial, the applied indices appear too long. IMO, applied...
Yes, a very interesting design, and quite different from the previous design. I like the thinner profile of the current version. I'm not sure about having the bezel smaller than the case, though. It looks like it could be difficult to operate the bezel. Also, I'm not discerning any difference in...
I haven't seen many blue dial Estorils posted, so I thought I'd post a few photos of my blue dial big triangle with date, that I received a couple days ago. This is a very dark, subtle blue; the term "Dusty Blue" came to mind the first time I saw it.
Endmill or Mesh?
After wearing each bracelet for a couple of days, I've decided to answer my own question! I definitely prefer the mesh bracelet, especially with the one I have with flat surfaces on the links. The links reflect light as you roll your wrist, adding a cool effect. Overall, I think...
SWM,
I got it on ebay for $14.99, including shipping. I show photos of the bracelet on page 45 of this thread. Its quality is first-rate. At the time, no one seemed interested, instead preferring one with those H-shaped removable pieces, for several times more money. Perhaps they weren't...
BRACELET DU JUOR!
Today I decided to try a shark mesh on my new Estoril, while I fix a clearance issue on the endmill bracelet I showed and discussed here yesterday. Here are the photos I took of it in my back yard this afternoon. What do you think, Endmill or shark mesh?
Narc'd
Your bracelet(and watch, of course) looks very good, considering you had to grind it to fit. What was the seller of the bracelet you got on Amazon, and does it have solid end links?
Actually, I was thinking of grinding my Endmill end links, as you suggest. The only thing that stopped me...
My Black dial arabic Estoril 300 with date arrived today. Since I'm a bracelet guy, I got a Srapcode Endmill to put on it. Here are some photos shot this afternoon, showing how this combination looks. If any of you try this, be aware that if you use the Strapcode 2.5 mm springbars the distance...
