I prefer no dots under the bezel numbers. Just center the numbers and make the numbers somewhat larger. This, I believe, is in keeping with the original.
is in keeping with the original.
SuperP,
Those look great, but I like Pakz bezel numbers on Page 4. That is, center the numbers in the space, and make them larger. I'll go with the black date window, as long as we keep the white square around it. Otherwise, these look great!
I agree with the small marker at 12, with the number 12 under it, for the date version. Til now, I didn't think this was a possibility. Numbers at 6,9,and 12 and date at 3, would add better balance to the dial of this version.
Pakz,
I totally agree, and I couldn't have said it better! Also, the 9015 has considerably less positional variation, less isochronism, and a little more power reserve.
I just reviewed all the inputs on the first seven pages. I'm all for markers on the bezel, but I don't really like the short ticks under the numbers. I very much like the bezel on the SM300, with date, that Maria posted back on page 4. The bezel numbers are big and bold! For my taste, the Page 4...
Maria,
Thanks! I'm OK with the date window at 3, although the size of the window is a little over powering, and dropping the 3 somewhat disturbs the symmetry of the dial,IMO. Still, if the original had it, there should be license to include it in the homage!
Maria,
Could we see a rendering with a date window? I'm a little dubious of what the date next to the number 3 would look like. Does it complicate the purchase of the movements if the date is somewhere other than 3? I would be fine with no numbers on the dial, but this may stray too far from...
My desires for this new homage are as follows:
1.Bracelet or bracelet option, with ample removable links, and 3-4 holes on the clasp for micro adjustment. A diver's suit extension is not needed, IMO. These tend to be a complication, that causes more problems than solutions. For the guys who...
Joel, FYI, I was pointing out an inexpensive alternative tool, that you can get today, rather that wait 2-3 weeks for the Borealis tool. Getting your missing tool from Borealis is between you and Maria.
I got my black dial, modern hands Scorpionfish on Monday, Aug. 17. It is running a consistent +4 sec./day over the first two days. One spec. I haven't seen before is the weight of the SF. I weighed mine, and it's 224.4 grams, with all the links. So it's hefty, but not the brick one might expect...
For those who didn't get the hex screwdriver, the required size is 1.5 mm. You should be able to get a 1.5 mm allan wrench at any hardware store. It will do the same job.
There aren't any bracelet screws at the case. At least my SF has all its bracelet screws near the clasp. Are you sure you're not referring to the lug fasteners, with the hex heads?
I got and paid my invoice for a black dial, modern hands Scorpionfish on Tuesday, got my Tracking notice from Fedex on Thursday, and estimated delivery is on Monday August 17. I've got my sizing tools at the ready!
