The design of the watch is closed as mentioned in first post but thank you for sharing your thoughts.
It should wear comfortable as is due to its slim profile.
The best is to get both :)!
Delivery of the Batial will come out first and with pre-order deposits will be easier to accommodate payment as it is done in two different instalments.
We are still finalising calculation of costs. Will be below $500.00 USD but above $400.00 as bronze material is quite expensive together with dials we are using.
Pre-order of the Borealis Seafarer II will start before prototypes are ready.
For all interested the Borealis Batial has just been presented here: http://www.borealiswatchforum.com/threads/borealis-batial-deep-diver-3000m-cusn8-bronze-watch.1505/
After many requests received we have decided to unveil the Borealis Batial - Deep Diver 3000m CuSn8 Bronze Watch.
The Borealis Batial CuSn8 bronze watch will feature a water resistance of 3000m and yet a quite slim profile with a total height of 13.50mm.
To ensure this water resistance we will...
We can have endless discussions on ceramic vs sapphire however a decision on this project has already been made and design is now closed.
We are now working on technical details.
That is already a bit off topic. The Batial will be presented when prototype is built and will be sold as is. It will be also a 3000m diver watch with total height of 13.50mm as already showed on technical designs with crown also made of bronze.
Will be a tribute to the now defunct Anonimo.
This is from a 3000m bronze watch we are working on
Additional gaskets allow better expansion of metal under extreme pressure making watch more resistant at greater depths.
At beginning we only had 2 gaskets but now with 3 resistance will very much be improved as metal won't be touching...
Details on the decision also somewhere around. The original SM300 had plexiglass and acrylic bezel. We updated it all to sapphire in order to make it with today's technology and achieving similar looks.
You can find those details on the first page. Dial markers are not applied as we are going to use thick lume. One contradicts the other.
As for the bezel is sapphire which costs more than a ceramic insert.
After a few iterations we are ending up with a total of 8 versions for the Borealis Estoril 300!
Design is now closed. Factory is working on the technical details.
We tried to please majority of requests made but at this stage design is now closed.
