We have now finalized technical details. Waiting just quotation for the sapphire domed crystal + sapphire insert.
We are also using a viton gasket in caseback.
first we will release black color then depending on popularity other colors will follow as factory requires a minimum order of 1000 pcs per color. We will be selling them almost at cost price!
The glue residues are not visible in all watches as depends on amounts used. It does not affect whatsoever water resistance or any functionality of watch. The magnification of the crystal makes it look bigger than what it is in reality.
You're now doubting our answer? As explained to you on email what is depicted in photo is not a damage on crystal. That is some residue of glue applied to the tefzel gaskets that secure the watch crystal to the watch case.
You can see this more in regular watches due to the magnification...
It is not as simple as that to develop a new strap. Factory requires a minimum order of 1000 straps to develop a new color. We are working now on a new rubber strap but will be available only in black.
Price on both will be below 500 USD each but above 400 as materials used are premium and our margins are slim as usual.
We provide best quality/price ratio in market.
We are actually ready to start pre-order of the Batial and the Seafarer II but would like to start all 3 pre-orders at same time as will give bigger exposure in terms of social media.
We are just waiting for technical drawings of the Estoril to be finalised and approved.
Yes, 13mm thickness with the domed acrylic.
As for your dream consider it almost impossible unless dial opening would be quite narrow below 28mm and no date ...
Finish of case is brushed with polished parts. There is no guarantee and is not whatsoever stated or implied that end links of an Omega fit case of the Estoril 300 as this is not a 1:1 project but a homage paying tribute to a long time discontinued watch with today's technologies.
Thanks and yes, we are both on the same page here. We also do not like to create thick watches for the sake of being thick. For instance the Borealis Batial has a thickness of 13.50mm and a water resistance of 3000m (10x more than the Estoril).
Oranges vs apples here. The watch we are paying tribute to is the Omega 165.024 not the Omega 2254.50.
Reason for the 12.50mm is due to the domed sapphire used on the Estoril. If instead of a domed crystal we used a flat crystal as in the SMP height would be of 12mm.
The Omega 165.024 itself had a height of 13mm height so you can see not possible to make it slimmer than what we offer and keeping 300m water resistance.
