For whatever reason ("not enough privileges") I can't vote nor say a thing on the poll thread.
So I'll express my opinion here. I'll buy the no-date-big-triangle but for date version I prefer the date-at-3-small-triangle (allows for more diversity with a limited number of variants and the date...
Your talking of the bronze watch that was announced on facebook. It'll be revealed in a few weeks, normally. It's a different thing from this one or the Estoril300. Another model.
You'll probably have what you wanted, and other that are interested in larger pieces with high depth rating will...
Thing is, waiting and wearing them might in some occasions make the movement settle in.
My Sea Dragon was about 20s fast a day at first, then progressively slowed down to a much more acceptable 7s a day. Then the Scorpionfish came (and it's +2s a day, but was about -2s at first). I'll probably...
Yep, a poll might help
I actually have the impression that the crowd is quite evenly divided between date/no date and small/big triangle while very few seem to be attracted to the DLC finish...
But that might be an impression only.
As long as a big triangle no date version is made with black...
humm...
There's something to your suggestion, I thing. It's a good way to satisfy at least a little every one... Those hell bent on having big triangle AND date or small triangle+12 AND no date are probably a very tiny minority.
Yep.
Stick to big triangle, date or no date and steel or DLC and maybe the option of mesh or nato (or better yet, either nato or nato+mesh).
Simple choice and great value product, that's the road to success !
Agreed, but.. have you got those many Asian customers sensitive to those number "similarities". Certainly they will all or almost all try to avoid things in "4" but will they be very sensitive to 3989m v 3988m ?
Any east-Asian member to chime in?
Yeah, the 2824-2 has a long history. But, it also has a few known weaknesses, in the keyless works for example if you chose to handwind it. It also has a history with the "date change time of death" where if you change the date during a looong period of time 20h to 3-4h you have a good chance of...
Weird. The scorpionfish has a great fit and finish, very nice bracelet, lume that easily lasts a looong summer holidays' night and a perfect bezel action (to my tastes, but it can easily be adjusted if it does not match ones preferences).
More than a change in the colour of the minutes hand...
Just a thing...
Would you consider 3989m instead of 3988m? It's actually the largest prime number smaller than 4000, would be a great "easter egg" for that watch, and would make it special to me (as well, probably as others) with a nice bit of hidden history having people wonder "why?" Plus...
Not very "Citizen", I think... But a sort of "luxurious version" of the Seiko SKX007 or 009 dials/hands. Not the worse inspiration and a welcome change from the Rolex/Tudor/Omega inspiration for dials and hands.
Actually, it's really growing on me... We'll see in a bit when proto pictures...
The more I look again at it, the more I hesitate...
Looks like I'll still get one if the price's not too high (which is almost a given with Borealis) and the proto looks are OK... Thinking of a blue and orange one...
But I really hope that this one, the Estoril 300 and the bronzo will be...
Absolutely agree.
And, in addition to that for anyone interested in lume for real application and not for flashing a strong LED torch on it for one minute and then looking at the watch for 5 minutes, the BGW9 is actually superior: doesn't shine so bright at the beginning, looses strength rather...
Regarding straps and bracelets, I feel like the best strategy would be:
Sell the watch with one nato (it looks great, is in line with the history of the SM300, costs little) and let users get an added rubber or mesh included as an options. In my case, for example, I already have a plethora of...
